Manito Media produced the reality series "Expédition Blizzard", which followed a group of people trekking out into the frozen wilderness in Manitoba. They reached out to me to design and animate the show intro as well as some secondary graphics. The design and look was supposed wo feel isolating and frigid. The title animation in particular was made to reflect the difficulty of navigating in this climate, and that you could lose yourself in blowing snow if you weren't careful.
Tracking the journey and reality of the people on this excursion were crucial to telling their story. I designed and animated a custom lower third that displayed the temperature, so the editors at Manito Media could work efficiently on this project. The map graphic below was used throughout the series to document the path and campsites they took along the way.
